Plain Sight
A new perspective on common household objects that are often overlooked. First exploration in hard surface modeling.
These objects in particular I have always thought were oddly pretty. And I think they don't get enough credit. I made this piece to show these objects in an abstract way, so as to take them out of the context of them being something specific and simply emphasize their hidden beauty.
My goal was to demonstrate a different perspective of seeing things just as forms, and not as objects with a name and a specific purpose. The best way I can put it is that our eyes do something similar to our ears with background noise. When the refrigerator motor has been running for so long, we don't notice it anymore. In the same way, things we see all the time begin to lose their significance. Let's start taking a closer look again.
